whats web gprs? don't have that option

@peeta - web gprs is not an option on the phone, u have to ask your service provider to enable it.... It's full gprs with POP3, html+WAP page viewing, and with it, u can use your phone as a modem and use the PC for surfing the net...

Checking Gmail on a K-series phone using the built in e-mail client works fine! Just make sure TLS is enabled and that you have entered the following domain in the TLS settings: pop.gmail.com
Also make sure incomming port is 995 and that incomming server is set to pop.gmail.com (same as TLS domain).
It's the OUTGOING settings that some operators restrict - not the incomming!
