Either way the k750 still takes brilliant pictures. If a pictures great then there shouldn't be much else to it.
Sure optical would be nice.. but that will proberly be in the next gen as right now sony can just fall back to the excuse... "hey its still a phone"

But that does not apply to the K750.
It zooms, but picture resolution remains the same size.

I know that the K700 way of zooming can be felt oddy, but it definitely allows to retain the best quality of the pictures without expending in much kilobytes!
you can dedicate yourself completely to the scene (cropping on the phone) and, once you get home, if you desire, you can use a professional bicubic interpolation (Photoshop rulez!) and get a decent pic.
AFAIK, the same interpolation, made by the K700 would be, hands down, far inferior!
As soon as you zoom in, the K750 surely adopts such an interpolation to give you fake and buddy 2Mpix pictures (that's the way a digital zoom works, as you all know)...
All that without comparing the VGA sensor of the K700 with the 2Mpix K750.. of course: a K750 pic is way better than the oldy K700 but a 0x K750 pic scaled afterwards by Photoshop is *better* than a K750 Zoomed pic..
Bye,
Macco

Maybe, we just dont know yet until the phone is released and we're able to test this ourselves.
Either way, im still impressed by the K750i's digital zoom.
