Yes, the eMac has a 17" CRT screen, and all the computer bits, ports, memory, DVD drive etc. are within the case of the screen:

The iMac has a flat LCD screen which is only a few centimetres thick, but the whole computer is within the screen, no desktop bits at all:

The Mac mini is tiny! Even I was suprised at how small it is. Just the same size as a stack of about 5 CDs!! It's pretty much the same specification as the eMac but doesn't come with screen, keyboard or mouse:

Yep,
I got a 17" Powerbook last year and have added a Gig of memory to it and a Lacie Big Disc for digital photos, I use a Nikon D 70 digital camera in raw mode which means that Photoshop CS is opening files of 45MB to start with. Once Photoshop gets loaded up it can really zip along with photo alterations etc. (hence the need for the LaCie also plenty of room to back the whole system up on)

I have preordered Tiger and expect it on the doormat late April early May.

My desktop machine which has been taken over by son and heir runs xp and suse linux.
He actually prefers the kde interface on linux to xp.
