> V800 getting very HOT
Bookmark topic
I've heard of this before, although I haven't used my V800i for ages, but mine has never got hot.
Get it checked as soon as you can, as that could be serious. Apparantly its something to do with the fact that the phone is quite thin for an older 3G phone which apparantly caused overheating before. But I'm not sure.
Get it checked!

Its most likely the battery.... it did it at first... now it hardly goes HOT!!!

Took it to the citypoint and apparently its a common problem amongst v800's he said not to worry about it.
So i guess it will be allright.

I have a V800 flashed to R1Y/Z800i firmware. Have also experienced the back/battery getting pretty hot. But in my experience it only happens when using GPRS over 3G/UMTS. Especially with streaming video over 3G/UTMS. But it may be that browsing GPRS over 3G/UMTS is enough. To me it seems that when V800/Z800i is working hard with data over 3G/UMTS it sucks the battery pretty good, giving that warm feeling

This also reflects the reduced operating time in the specification when using 3G/UMTS vs GSM. Just my 0.02€.

I have not had any trouble with mine.
Best solution to reslove this would be to plunge it into some ice cold water.

@solidsingh
yeah it is m8.
@others
Yeah I've noticed that it gets hot when browsing, using net, listening for a while, but if you take the battery out for a second and put it back in it cools down by 100% =), its only happened to me once since I got it.
