Battery life is dependent on usage. A heavy user may only get about 3-4 days out of the battery which is excellent compared to Nokias and Motorolas which get 0-2 days with heavy usage. Li-ion batteries supposedly don't have charge memory so it wouldn't matter whether or not you discharged your battery before recharging it. Any good techie knows that superstition is a good thing so we normally discharge the battery anyways. To achieve maximum standby you should have the light off, not recieve calls, no SMS, no bluetooth, no GPRS, no button pressing, in other words: just leave the phone to sit. Since you have the phone anyways, you might as well use it. No sense in having a product unless you are going to use it. =P

For example in Turkey I have tested two companies;
Telsim; fully charged phone displays 205 hours, but !!!!!
Turkcell; fully charged phone displays 275-280 hours ! Yes almost %50 more ON THE SAME PHONE !!!
So, if you want to have more stand-by time change your phone company...

Hakkan is right, my o2 sim displays 265h while my tmobile one only shows 210 fully charged.
