Hey guys!
Thank you all for the answers!!
I will visit the sites right now!
I didn't know how many pixels should be background big.. that's the only problem, because i love making my own backgrounds. So i guess we can share it if you want, just post me an email, and i'll send it to you..
And yesterday i tried with 640x480 wallpaper, i resized it in Paint shop pro, than i upload it to mine 7650 through IR and it works perfectly, except i have feeling, that picture is too big and it "eats" a lot of memory unecessary.. am i right? It's something like, you put Jpg on you homepage instead of Bmp, and it's going to load a lot faster..
And now, i made a couple of shoots.. 3 if i am precise.. 3 portraits. For phonebook. And why do i have just around 65-70 pictures left in the camera standard mode? Because i put setting on high quality or...? Any idea?
Thanx once again guys! If you need anything just email me please, don't hesitate:)

Check the quality (compression rate) of your jpeg files.
It's not a desktop or laptop computer, so decreasing the quality wouldn't show too much on a mobile phone while you would decrease the memory consumption drastically.

Thanx for the answer!
Compression ratio? Before i upload it to phone? And how it should be, not to use a lot of memory? So you're saying that, if i turn on high quality ad 7650 there's not much difference in kb's?
I must goof around with this things..

The size is not so important. Because, u can save for example 640x480 image and 7650 will automaticaly resize it to ful screen mode when u choose picture for background. Size's aren't so important.. Important however is size of kb's.. I put there 640x480 picture and it was i think around 60kb's.. when i resized it to 174×132 the size shrunk to 5 kb's.. so that's important..
also i have one more question if any of u guys know the answer..:
I installed email settings, everything is perfect, except i DLed i think 3 messages and when i try to open one of them the phone say something like "it's too big, remove some of the data" i guess the message was pretty long, because i then checked it with netscape messenger, but i couldn't erased it, i had to mark it for erase and then i had to check new emails and then it erased..so i have a couple of questions:
1. What is the biggest size of the message (kb's) that phone is able to
show it?
2. What data should i erased? Messages or..... ??
3. Is there any other way to delete message, or u must connect (check new messages) and than the phone delete 'em automaticly.. ?
4. As far as i saw tehnical data, the phone have 4 mb's of memory.. so that means i could save a mountain of picuters, if they're about 1-5kb's big??
Thanx guys!

@MViper:
The higher the compression rate, the lower the quality and the lower the amount of memory used.
Usually, imaging softwares like paintshop pro, ACD see etc have the option to select the compression rate or the quality of the jpeg files when saving them. So, do that on your PC prior to uploading the pictures on the phone.

The size in this case is very important 'cause the ratio of pictures was so different. The ratio in 640x480 and 174x132 is about the same, but 176x208 has much different ratio and it doesn't look good as a wallpaper. The picture have to be scaled down to fit, but the ratio is not changed.

Depends how much memory you have left in your device.

It's up to you. Photoalbum could a place to start.

Hey orange!
Thanx for the answer(s)
Yes, i saw yesterday, when i put there 176x208 the picture was small, but when i resized it to 174x132 is pretty the same than 640x480, except it's smaller. So in some cases there is difference between sizes.. Something new again for me

thanx!
i have around 3172kb's memory available.. so it's around 70% of free memory, but why was still report that it couldn't open the message??
So if i know something, the message supposed to be bigger than 3172kb's? So that means 3 MB's.. And as far as i remember, the message wasn't that big.. so.. what's the problem? Any idea?
Did i miss anything?
But i have very little pictures on phone. I don't have a photo album

I have 4 thumbnails (portraits) and 1 background, that's it! I saw around 350kb's in Calendar.. is this eraseble or should i leave it alone?
Thanx again!
