I'm from Delhi, and on Hutch Prepaid, and I have sent files closing in around 180 KB many times... Even received a 216 KB file a few days back via MMS... I don't see how's Hutch limited to 100 KB; unless it is a regional thing...

no it is actuall limit of the phone and network!
only 3G phones and maybe newest other phones the limit is 300kb
other new phones are 100kb
old phones 30 to 50kb
If you make an mms with size of 300kb and you send it to my phone (qtek 2020 with limit of 100kb) the network will resize mms to 100kb)
If I send an mms of 100kb to my sharp GX10i (with limit of 30kb) the network will resize to 30kb (and not the phone)
if the network is limited to 100kb and you send an mms from Nokia 6630 to V800 of 300kb the network will resize to 100kb.

If 100kb is enough, why is more better? Do you not understand the price to MMS ratio? Second, the size is network limited to there is no way to trick or cheat the system. Hmmm... Anyone here know what a billing system is and why they cost millions of dollars?

@kdskamal
What network are you on. Second, are you sending to someone within the same country? Several operators do not allow you to send from one network to the other that is not national. As I have said before, it is dependent upon the operators MMS parameters. Most limit it.

This about only new 3G phones beeing able to send 300kB messages is not really true. I can send them with my T630 too.

Has anyone thought about simply asking their mobile operator about the maximum size that can be sent via MMS. This would make for a very informed people and a short thread.

The new K750i supports 100kb MMS, and that is a limit in the phone according to SE.
My old phone, k700i, supported MMS up to 300kb!
My operator Telia supports 300kb. So i really hope SE change the limit for MMS in k750i.
