I actually asked about the 4096 question, but all i got was a lot of non-commital mumbeling.
MY guess is that we will be able to at a cost upgrade SW/HW to 4096.
This is JUST A GUESS though.

i highly doubt
will offer a hardware upgrade so you can have 4096 colours.... whats wrong with 256 anyway.. its 255 more colours than i have on my phone

WHAT IF the current LCD can actuallly display 4096 colors and is just being limited by the firmware? Just speculating. :-)
