Worked...until i opened the flip and set it back to AUTO
I tried switching to ON and set the dimmed light to 1%...would be ok too, but with FrontView in use it constantly goes ON, Dimmed, ON, Dimmed, On, Dimmed...it's a phone and no stroboscope, damnit
Anyone? Any idea?

Funny thing I've found.
"Always On" setting for backlight does not spend as much battery as I expected.
And if you use it in conjunction with the Screen Saver Lock (aka clock), it auto turns off the light while the clock is being shown.
I also set the dimmed light at the same level of the normal light because I thought it was too annoying.
I see no major differences in battery spending, so I'm OK with these settings.

Hmm, thought about it myself, but considered it too battery-expensive.
But now i'll gonna try, but as i use frontview's screensaver-clock this is
annoying, coz every 30secs or so it refreshes the screen and i always
think of an incoming call ,-)
And the dimmed version, as mentioned above, always goes FULL -> dimmed -> full -> dimmed...even more annoying.
But i don't want to dismiss frontview
@gardar: I formatted BECAUSE of this, yes and THEN i've got the probs again
Firmware update i didn't tried...have the newest and saw no REAL reason as updating consists of a risk anytime...but maybe...
DAMN IT...such a stupid little problem

I have this problem when PowerMP3 is running (playing or otherwise)
Do you have this app installed?
Soon as I kill it (using the best util ever, SMan) the problem goes away.

Uh...yes is do...but it's not running when i have the light-problems.
Anyway, i will check it out, but i won't dismiss it until a better mp3-player comes out.

I'm having the same issues, and I've been able to link them to PowerMp3; however, I'm willing to live with it as there is NOT a better mp3 player out there.

Solution: Buy, install, never ever dare to quit it
