Yes exactly....some people just have no sense of humour....
Just the idea that Microsoft one the worlds biggest corporations useing a rivals hardware to run its software!
besides why could'nt MS just custom build some machines for the purpose?..its not as if they are short of money!

axxr: Why spend more money building development machines when hardware platforms are already out there and all they have to do is make software. Thats what they do right? Make software? For platforms?
This has long been done.
IIRC PS / PS2 development machines were just pc's with some plugin hardware as well.
Yes its ironic, but then again so is them owning shares in apple, which means as a shareholder they're probably profitting from the ipod itself. Isn't that ironic, don't ya think?

Apple doesnt do anything but put the parts together, much like Sony or Dell or Alienware. The difference is, you have less choice with an Apple

.
And it wasn't funny, because MS makes software, buying hardware from a software competitor is hardly ironic or anything.

Certainly not ironic
I just have this vision of Billy-boy ringing up Steve Jobs and saying something like "Ayup Steve, sorry about what happend in the past an' all that, you couldn't let me have a few of them G5s could you, our PCs keep blue screening on us when we try to run our Xbox stuff on 'em"
Yes, of course it didn't happen like that but my loathing of M$ just makes it a pleasant thought

Its really funny how old that blue screen thing is. I haven't seen it on my PC for over 2 years now. Oh and that means NEVER on my PC. Just on that piece of cr*p ME machine we used to have

.
XPs different. If you know how to use it. Mac IS more user friendly, but I hate the user-friendlyness

You can see in the picture that there is an Xbox 360 viewable through a little slot, implying that the games themselves are running on pre-production consoles, but if you actually come around to the side, you can see two Apple G5 PowerMacs, the development systems for the 360 plus a desktop fan to keep them cooled down.

There main reason was the ibm chips not the software.a little funny but it was also smart business.
