Ive done that before
Last day of school, i was about 15. We found some dry ice in the drama dept.
Put it in a bottle half filled with water, sealed it and threw it. One of then exlpoded, flattening the bottle.
We threw one down a hill as it didnt do anything, well after 5 mins it did and shot up the hill and over my school!.
We ran like little bitches, all the teachers thought it was a bomb!

Slight correction:
Dry Ice is solid Carbon Dioxide not liquid.
It comes in small pellets about 1cm long & each pellet turns into about 1 cubic metre of gas if I remember rightly! It evaporates straight to gas so liquid is rare unless contained.
I used to work in a chemical factory & we had about 50 bags delivered every day!
Oh, did we have fun with it! It's not explosive in a firey kind of way but for pure pressure its great.
Mik's Top 5 Dry Ice Fun Tips:
1- 2L Bottle Bomb.
Put a handful or 2 in a 2litre plastic bottle & add a little water to melt it faster.
Put the lid on & put it down!
Possible spray warm water on it to speed things up!
Stand back!
BOOOM!!
2- Foam Party
Take a large barrel of water.
Add a good amount of washing-up liquid.
Throw in a couple of handfuls of dry ice & as it turns instantly to gas it makes lots of bubbles with the washing-up liquid.
This will cover a floor of about 10m square a few inches deep easily in a few minutes!
3- Tub Jumping
Get a plastic tub/bucket with a tight fitting push-on lid.
As usual add dry ice & maybe water.
Put lid on & set it down.
See who's lid jumps the highest when it blows off!
4- Pass the Glove
Get a rubber glove (thick ones) & put a small amount of dry ice in.
Throw it between each other like a hot potato until it explodes!
5- Face Cooler.
Put a bit of dry ice in a cardboard postal tube (sealed at the bottom).
Put in front of your face & blow in it.
You get a blast of ice cold air back in your face, amazing on a really hot day.
I got a written warning after we set off a bottle bomb once. It literally was like a cannon, unbelievably loud! It even shook the windows of the upstairs offices 75m away.
The managers came running out thinking a chemical had exploded.
All 100% true by the way, brings back memories.
