The link between SMS capacity and revenue is very simple: If a certain sort of person wants to store over 100 SMS in their mobile phone then they are usally the sort of perosn who send lots of SMS.... therefore if the phone has little capacity to store it is no good for this purpose. Thats the link.
If you buy any Nokia or Samsung it is standard to have a large SMS capacity... Why cant SE do something about this? Is it not easy to convert SMS to able to store on the Memory Stick??

Yeah. I fail to understand why anyone would wish to store more than 100 SMS. IT's so strange that people would use this seemingly minor capability as the deciding factor. Guess different strokes for different folks! But I still say weird!

I would be happy if it had 100 messages for inbox itself. Combined with sent items 100 is too less for messages. I get message memory full almost everyday. Then i have to clear the sent items.

Using SMS is not that different to emails any more, and is also heavily used for business.
The thing I don’t get is why a one word text message will take up the same storage capacity as a 20 word text?! Surely there should be a better kind of dynamic storage?!

in case of some cell phones, the phone get slower when you get more sms stored. i mean it takes more time to open the inbox. i cannot say this with my k700i coz i dont really store sms a lot. is k750 the same as k700 in storing sms in terms of capacity and performace like speed. what about those nokias and samsung?

200 seem to be the limit (a guy at mobile-review got a 95% full warning when he had 195 message or so).
