I read in Newscientist magazine that there is a very large amount of methane produced in that region that it makes the water less dense thus resulting in boats sinking. Methane in the air is meant to make planes fall from the sky.

@masseur - Yup, as I remember my brother reading a lot of books about this author when we were small - Daniken, mostly about strange phenomenon and UFOs!
Commercial Airline pilots are very well/should be versed with this Bermuda Triangle thing, if they don't want their commercial flights disappear in thin air!

Bla Bla Bla......All Jiberish. I live in Bermuda this is just a theory. Not real. The way this story became so believable because random sailors would go sailing pass the reafs and instead of comming back to the island they would just head off to the West Indies. And also because off a group off pilots flying and headed in the opposite direction from the Floride Keys and ran low on fuel in the vicinity of the Bermuda Triangle....and crashed. Trust Me every tourist comes to Bermuda and askes the same question but yet when they arrive to Bermuda via cruise ship or plane either way your still crossing the Bermuda Triangle. So in that case No its not true. But still if you visit Bermuda and go to The BUEI,Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute and go in the Submarine then you will see the methane bobles rising to the surface and also if you take a compose and head towards North Rock it starts to Spin in different directions........
Don't be Taunted by this stupid theroy come and visit it like Hawaii but just no active volcanoes
