@Eastcoaststar, I guess we'll keep getting all these threads like this until

do pull their finger out though I'll never fully understand why people can never be happy with what we have now and always want "the next thing". its human nature I guess, or ego, or...
I suspect the P910 does fullfil the needs of 80% or more of the general users of the phone and much less than that probably don't even use the P910 to its full capabilities
however a little birdie told me to watch out for
Communicasia in mid June so lets if that little birdie was singing the right tune

Not to mention that there are rumors about the upcoming specs of

smartphones and that 2 cameras and no 3g doesn't make much sense.

Why do you think PX has been forced to buy a P910i? Is that because his "line-up" not much represent an "SE" lover?
Eh, no. I was doing an atempt to put a wee bit of humor in to my post when the issue of locking the topic came up.
Making a point of not locking a topic and at the same time trying to be nice might not have been such a good idea then?
(OK, I could have added a smily but didn't think of it)

When was the P910 presented to the world? July 2004?
And when was it in the shelves? October 2004?
I'm pretty confident they will present the successor of the P910 in this summer.
With a bit of luck I might already have a the new P at Christmas. Cool

BTW I can't seem to see why

is in trouble.

has a bright future. And at least they're improving unlike siemens and Alcatel, which has recently chosen to exit the mobile handset market. As for siemens I wonder what's actually going to happen to them. But

they're just improving and eventually should expand their worldwide market share, so I'm not going to worry.
Although I don't seem on topic with the discussion but I am with the title

I agree that SE should at least annonce a new P series phone soon but I really dont think that it means that SE are in trouble.
Why do people put such alarmist titles? SE would be in real trouble if they were not going to release any new phones this year but making us wait for a new P series does not mean the company is in trouble.
The stupid thing is people have been demanding a new series ever since SE released the P800! First we had to have a P900, then when that was released we had to have a P910 ever since the release of the P910i we have had to have a P1000! When Se do release the P1000 people will be asking we dont have a P1100 within a month of the P1000!

I think the problem has been that

has focused all their attention on the V800 and (soon to be released in UK) Z800i which is their first 3G mobile and a flip too ! I love my p900 i think it is the best phone out there at the mo (p910i of course is better!

) I am just waiting to get my paws on the Z800i , but boy what a dilema i will have if they do release a new p xxx phone !!!

@Wirral Bagpuss
That`s the way it goes mate.
Once we`ve gotten our hands on a new phone, we can enjoy it for a couple of weeks, and then we want something better:)
And the wait is back on....
