A signal strenth meter would be perfect!

I use to own a gizmo that had beacon and a reciver that worked like a geiger counter.
Just beeps and bleeps the closer you got them the greater the number of bleeps.
Even that would be ace!

@mathios..the bluejack module in sman does that just fine..were talkin about an app whih will do 2 things a) list all bt devices in proximity b) indicate the bt signal strength for each of the listed devices...hope ive got it right guys...

Maybe we need some kind of a forum for developers. This way we can say what software we need and for what, someone might develop something.
Developers will know what most people will buy and what they won't buy.

Isn't the range of BT about 10 meters? Do we really need signal meters for figure this out? Really. Second, if the intended target has BT turned off, a signal meter is moot. Third, if you send out a message, your phone will search for all available receivers in range (remember the 10 meters), and then try to send to those devices that can receive. This is not hard or as complicated as some are making it.
