> K750i - Standby Crash

I had the identical problem descibed in the initial post, if you turn the phone on, and leave it for a while without touching it, the screen was in the black with the cloack, and it was frozen, the only way to sort it was the manually remove the battery, even the power button would not respond.
I returned it and got a new one, it seems perfect. Guy in shop said 50 % of the K750 they sold on Sat had been exchanged on the Sunday for the same reason, he was getting worried!!

Yes, the camera has a shutter sound. On some K750 it can be turned off on others not (pretty much same thing as K700, S700 etc.).

yep, mine lasted just 2 days, then earlier this evening i got a text message, but i can't read it as the phone is locked up solid !! The buttons do nothing, all i have is the black screen with the time on it when it crashed and an envolope to say i have a message.
I wish they test these phones properly before releasing it to the public ?
Oh well back to the shop we go

I have had the occasional (3) crashes when rotating a photo. It just freezes up and I need to take out the battery.

hmm with all these crashes in the k750i. I think i might wait a month, or till they sort it out. Don't like the hassle of returning the phone, after charging it and playing with it, then releasing its crashed n faulty, and having to return it back and go through the process again.

OK I dont want to panic anyone but twice now I have left my new K750i on and have gone back to use it after a while and the phone remains frozen with the clock and black screen. I try to press buttons and theres no response, I call it and it goes to answer phone. I had to twice remove the battery and restart the phone.
Has anyone had a similar problem with the K700?
What could cause this?
I am identical problem, phone version Arabian/English HW R2A FW R1A044 EMEA 6 two day old.
