My fingers were cut open from the attempts. Mate i hope it opens as some people have opened theres, but its best to play it safe and not break it. I know exactly what your going through, so its best just to give to o2. Dont worry about your sim, some way or another they'll sort it out.

I recall the T610 and K700 battery covers being quite tough at the beginning too

The K750 sure is a little toughy though

Maybe I'm lucky, but I can't say I've had any problems. In fact, unlike other handsets, particularly Nokia 3310 and 6230 come to mind, I can't understand what it is about the design that is giving people problems. Is it just very stiff? The ridge seems pronounced enough that it should be straightforward. Maybe it's just a question of technique

The S700 cover is a right pain to remove, the K750 doesn't seem as bad for me, but the first time I put the cover when I got it, it didn't go on properly and was sticking up slightly at one side, it took some getting off like that, I thought I was going to break it!

All i know is the k750 which i originally had, felt completly different to take off to the one which i have now. It was stuck there never to be moved again. I must have had about 15 people attempt at it and nothing. The perfect k750 i have now simply comes on/off. Not much technique needed!

...although i know what you mean about the 6230... some people just couldnt take it off
