the phone doesn't have to come out on your carriers... you can buy an unlocked one and use that cant you? aslong as 1900 is used in ur area

I much rather buy Cingular branded phones
as they support 850/1900. Cingular has put a great emphasis on 850 as it is a better reception specifically in buildings and rural areas. 1900 can be picked up in major cities and highways, however going into rural areas the 1900 becomes a problem signal wise. with the 850/1900 combination you will always have a signal. Since the AT&T merger, Cingular has dedicated to building and converting to an 850 band.
I hope Cingular continues to provide candy bar style
phones.
I think I would go for the D750, it looks sleek.

Currently they have 0 SE phones. He also said they won't get the D750 nor any other smart phones in. They do not replace the Nokia 6600 witht the 6680 adn they discontinued the HP 6315 also. Right now they are doing financially good and have the best plans in the business. I told him their phones suck and he agreed. Then I showed him my P900 to make him feel very bad. Also they have EDGE built into their network, but wait to launch it. That is the latest what I heart.

If T- Mobile is so arrogant as to say that they have the best plans, they are in a fog. I've done my home work and is the reason why I've stayed with Cingular.
Cingular has the most coverage area, better signal, better towers. The largest mobile to mobile community. When you look at T- Mobiles mobile to mobile coverage map, it is a laugh
It is very minimal. You would have to use your minutes plan, most of the time. There are no rollover minutes. If you don't use them ,you lose them. Not the case with Cingular's rollover minutes.
Take my plan 850 peak minutes / Free Mobile to Mobile / Unlimited free nights and weekends. I use about 400 - 500 minutes a month.
My rollover minutes balance is at 5,800
, which means I don't watch my minutes when I'm on the phone during peak time. I just talk away with out a care. Try that on T-Mobile plans.
Their reception sucks, That's why I dropped them several years ago.
Back to the subject at hand. Cingular, bring on the D750 and the S800 and all other
phones. Yes ... Yes... Yes....

I don't know why everyone dogs T-Mobile about their coverage. In all of the tests I've done between T-Mobile and Cingular networks, the converage seems to come clearly down to the terminal (or phone) you're using. For example, I get perfect reception with my k700i on T-Mobile, but dropped calls and half signal using Cingular's Treo 650, on 850mhz. When I use my k700 with my cingular sim card, the signal is fine. I get the same results regardless of the phone being used (Nokia's or Samsungs). Both networks provide good coverage, let's just hope that all the best SE phones come to BOTH T-Mobile and Cingular. That's what we'd all like for SE! I've also heard that T-Mobile has EDGE in place but are delaying the launch also. I've read stories in the local news papers here about T-Mobile doing tests for 'high speed wireless access through your mobile device' in key areas of Austin, TX (since it's the capital of texas, I guess T-Mobile's trying to lock down some contracts from all of the major state departments here). I've heard they're trying to increase capacity and resources so it's faster than Cingular's implementatin. I guess they can launch a decent advertising war against Cingular's EDGE network (much like what Sprint did to AT&T Wireless a few years back) if this is true. I will admit, Cingular's EDGE implementation does suck....it's very slow compared to implementations in the UK that I've used.

you are forgetting Verizon! I understand they are CDMA/CCDMA networks, but they are currently the largest network provider in the States!..
Cingular has been doing a lot to build on their already large subscriber database. And I do believe in the 850MHz theroy; lower frequencies in general do perform better (mold around objects, if you will ) against obstacles/uneven terrains. Whereas, higher frequencies tend to bounce and reflect off objects they encountered, thus maybe a worst reception phonomena...

I spoke to a TMobile tech, and he mentioned that they will be bringing the D750i to US market. The D750i is exactly the K750i but with a different face place (TMobile exclusive). I also observed on the SE's website (US), the have the K750i coming soon!.. not sure what that means, but it's a good sign!......
