BenQ CEO Lee Kuen-Yao shed some light on how BenQ sees the future of Siemens mobile phones. Interestingly BenQ seems not to see too much value in the Siemens brand, as they will start selling BenQ Siemens double branded handsets starting already in October.

Well this went belly up.
Is it now the end of the road for Siemens Mobile? I thought BenQ - Siemens might have been imitation and rival of Sony Ericsson at one point.

They targeted the low end mobile market which was a bad idea, I think.
But now I see Fijitsu-Siemens have a new phone out high end PDA type called the T830.
Will hopefully get one to play with soon.

Fujitsu is a good company to hook up with IMO. They're established and are very hi-tech.
