Howdy,
I'm one of those
orange worker bods,...the MMS settings from the orange bible are:
New Data Account Orange MMS
APN orangemms
User ID Orange
Password Multimedia
Password request Off
Wap Profile Orange MMS
Connect Using Orange MMS
IP Address 192.168.224.10
User ID [none]
Password [none]
Data Mode Connection Orientated
Security Off
Show Pictures On
Response Timer 150
Menu - Messages - MMS - Options - Message Server
Address
http://mms.orange.co.uk/
Menu - Messages - MMS - Options - Wap Profile
Select Orange MMS
Menu - Messages - MMS - Options - WAP Profile
Select Orange MMS
You have to have MMS product activated onto your account and this can be done by ringing 156 from your handset. They are activating the service onto s/w upgraded T68's also. It is taken about 72hrs at the mo, cos it is about three blokes going through a list of numbers to activate the service!!
The cost is 40p to send messages
To recieve MMS Info Alerts (call 277 option 2) it is 25p
Have fun

Had my lie down.
I knew it was too good to be true.
I have read on another thread
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=8822&forum=2
that Orange are refusing to enable MMS for s/w upgraded T68m's. I haven't asked to have it enabled myself yet but will call them later and see what they say.

It gets worse, Orange told me this morning that you can't send MMS without the camera!!!
Whats all that about!
So I might as well uninstall the Sony Ecrisson MMS Composer!

Keni,
My guess is that you spoke to the Orange YTS trainee.
If that was the case then I suppose that you would not be able to make a phone call without first purchasing an in-car-kit, a radio handsfree and a pair Calvin Klein boxer shorts.
What I meant to say was, what a load of bollocks!
I suppose if you pay peanuts, you get monkeys!!

Just off 156 trying to get MMS enabled. The Orange tubby helpfully told me that MMS was not available if I had a "non-Orange branded" handset - in other words, if you've got an offline handset on Orange, you can't have MMS. He offered no hint of a clue as to when, if ever, MMS would be available for Orange users on offline handsets. Kept spouting some bollocks about "sim card incompatibility", "your sim card would be paired to your orange phone", and "network compatibility". He was either unable unable or unwilling to give a coherent and comprehensible explanation of the problem (assuming there is one). I got the distinct impression he was reading from cue cards with no genuine understanding of what was going on.
The future's bright, my arse!

Called Orange at 5.15 this evening and asked for MMS. Blerk said no probs once I told him I had a s/w upped T68M.
They sent through the MMS setting and I should get my sim update in the 48hrs.
I'm am quite surprised!
I was expecting Orange to put some sort of obstacle in the way. They didn't.
Now I really must go and lie down
