@Horner2693
Hi Horner
I had this the first time I used the phone via the usb connection and had to unplug the usb cable from the pc and then restart the pc. Once the pc was up and running again, I reconnected the usb cable and opened up SE File Manager on my desktop and it then recognised that the phone was connected. Since then I've had no problems.
You say that you cannot see your memory stick. Are you looking in the correct place for your memory stick?
If so then I'm at a loss to suggest how to rectify your problem but are you checking to see if you can access the 'Removable Drive' on your pc? It's next to your C & D drives under 'My Computer' (mine is drive F).
If you've already done this then like I say, it's got me beat.

i can see my memory stick and i know the right place to look. the problem i am faced with is i can only connect my phone, thus seeing the removable drive, when i have just restarted/turned on th pc. i am unable to connect then disconnect, then connect again without having to restart the pc in between.
anyone have an ideas at all? im completely baffled.

During all this, do you recollect having installed / uninstalled anything ? Maybe some releavent XP sys files got modified / deleted.
Does same issue erupt if you try on other PC ?
I dont have K7 but with my S7 & the BT dongle...
MS Windows, I swear

often just wont detect / start hardware (dongle) initiation until I remove n re insert it or sometimes restart the PC.
Am not really doing the usual -blame it on MicroSoft. But still..

This is XP and remembering devices are removed - try plugging it into a different USB slot, or, after it has been reconnected, go to the "add hardware" control panel and tell it to search for already connected hardware.
This makes mine appear as a drive every time.
