make scandisk: right click on the drive where you have davinci installed, Properties -> Tools tab -> Error-checking -> Check now
compatibility mode: right click on the davinci client executable, Properties -> Compatibility tab -> Copmatibility mode -> Run this program in compatibility mode for: (check) -> choose any OS, e.g. Win98
Maybe it will help, maybe not.. I'm just guessing...

Try here they have the same software for download and give that a try, if that don't work I can only imagine you are missing a driver or something like that.

Maybe dll, just guessing. If it works for everybody else, it can only be something with your machine.
DaVinci are propably the ones to help as they will know all the requirements. Good luck I emailed them about a month ago and still had no reply.

Surpose if your machine was ready for a fresh install you could try that. Or just keep on at DaVinci.
