simple solution to the alarm problem is get a charging stand and put it on your bedside table. Thats what I do. (or you can put your sync station next to your bed, don't plug in the USB, but run your power cable to it.)

I don't see a problem there. If i turn anything OFF i believe it to
be, well....OFF!
"Standby" will be flightmode with powersave on. Doesn't even touch
my battery overnight. Actually i leave it on completly and it doesn't
drain a significant amount.
BTW most travelclocks or alarmclocks should be left on to assure beeing waked up ,-)

GEEZ!!!
Some people are arrogant and stupid enough to talk about stuff they don't know about!
Most phone alarms work when phone is OFF.
The t610 and z600 and t68 and t630 does that...
and so as other phones.
Question here is why the hell doen't tjhe p910 have that feature?
my answer...i don't know.
but i don't know why some people just keep on blabbering stupid answers like....WHAT DO YOU EXECT? THE PHONE IS OFF!??
Geez use your heads....not your armpits man!
don't talk if you don't know a thing about the topic!
don't be sarcastic...now you're all eating your own sh*t.
miss uk does have a point...most of you guys don't have a decent answer...and in the end...you just made a fool out of yourselves. Man! what is this world coming to?

lets make a refrence to ALL electrical items
TV off: Can't use it
Computer off: Can't use it
Cooker off: Can't use it
Fridge off: Can't use it
lights off: Can't use them (or see)
phone off:....? "well i expect to use the majortiy of its functions" arrrrrrrrr, NO,
phone off means phone off it means it wont work or cant be used because its off, if my TV is off i dont expect to see subtitles or hear the sound, anyway, enjoy trying to figure it out,
i tried watching a DVD with the player off, strangly enough that didnt work either!

Try not to forget that the Pxx0 is a dual device: phone and PDA. They are on separate firmware. You can absolutely switch off the phone (called flight mode), and the alarm (part of PDA) will still wake you up. On a "normal" phone you can't switch off the alarm. On a Px00 you can, when you turn both the phone and the PDA off. It is good to be able to give a true computer a complete rest

unless you intend on sleep wapping or sleepjacking people miiuk, the battery doesn't go down much overnight
If you want to be a stickler, turn it to flight mode or use sman to close any errant programs.
