Hmmm. The verdict does seem to be swaying towards Orange - which has surprised me somewhat.

At the end of the day, i get 14 days to change my mind, so if i go with one and find reception round here to be sh1t (i'm in between hills!), then i'll switch to the other. Vodafone always used to be the only provider to get service round here, but i'm hoping the others have improved their reception over the last few years.

Its interesting that everyones focusing on branding/customer service etc but the most important thing of course is COVERAGE!!

Don't go with either of them without first investigating what the coverage is like around your area! No point having a nice unbranded phone or smashing customer service if you can't bloody use the phone

Coverage is my main issue.

I'm starting a new job soon which will require a lot of moving around the country, so i'm hoping to get some kind of insight into which provider has the best coverage around the country.

I understand that voda is generally the best, but you pay more because of that. So where do O2 and Orange come?

I think they are about the same. No network is perfect and every one of them have black spots.

I always say chose the phone that works best in your home, youldd be supprised how much you use the phone there.

@Andy-rew

I do a lot of driving up and down the country and I've found that in my experience o2 has had the better coverage.

I had to cancel my orange contract because they seemed to have fogotten about coverage in my home village! I rang up to cancel the contract and the cheeky cow said why don't you just use the phone outside you area and get another network for at home! Was rather shocked by that

Ive been with Orange for a while, and havent moved off them, been with O2 during the time and had some issues with them. reception has never been brill in my experience with O2, and for a while messages would take ages to deliever.

No, go with Orange mate, and there customer service I find is pretty good!
