The gray is actually white with black spots. Just something different from black and white.
P.S does anyone know where to get a p900 to p910 conversion in Melbourne, Australia?

nice work and very stylish joelypolly
what type of paint do you use? I've got a K700 case to paint, but the only paint jobs I've done are with automotive enamel (cars and computer cases). Too thick and unsuitable for plastic.

wow, I really like what you've done to the sides. Really makes it stand out and look totally different from all the other black and white phones.

The paint is Tamiya Color Spray TS
http://www.tamiyausa.com/product/category.php?sub-id=61500
Its quite good and pretty thin. I did very very things coats and waited around 20 min for each coat to dry and allowed a full 12 hours between the colour coats and the clear coats and then 24 hours for it all to dry.

This link
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=93264 which is also in my signature should tell you everything you need to know about pulling your phone apart and painting it.
As for paint selection, find yourself a shop suited to hobbies or plastic models. They will have the paints you need. Talk to the people there to determine what you are most interested in doing.

I don't quite get what you are trying to say there.
You can't just buy these side pieces, but it would be perfectly possible to pull the phone apart as I have, mask the main part of the phone and only paint the silver side pieces and the parts of the main body that are silver.
This way the rest of the phone would remain gray.
