Plus: vga screen, tv, radio, 64 ram would be enough, at least 1.3 mpx.

a faster proccesor for starters!
3g
not bothered about large internal mem as of course youd lose everything if u need to do a reset or firm upgrade but a 1 gig duo in the box.
more ram
opera built in
a decent customisable today screen
at least 1.3 mega pixal cam
long range bt
LONGER LASTING BATTERY! god imagine a p910 being 3g wud last about 10 mins lol!
wud be good to see a s60 type smartphone as well as a top of line uiq, remember all uiq are touch screen s60 is for non touchscreen and one handed use!

I wrote this in a hurry, so I missed a few things. I also want:
- FM Radio (even though the Swedish analogue radio network is going to shut down in 2008, the P1000 won't last until then)
- Hi-res screen
- USB host abilities and HID profile
- Being able to use as a portable disk

I want a metal casing because it's exlusive and because I was used to it when I stuck with Palm and their Tungsten T3.
I do not want a harddrive as I think harddrives are a thing of the past. More memory is always good, although I don't see this as a necessity seeing that it has an expansion slot for Memory Sticks, which, according to Sony, can be as large as 32 GBs (or just 2 is enough).

UMTS (3G) technology would also be great, although I think the technology is somewhat immature as is.

The main things i would like would be:

- Slimmer (i like the current hieght/width as it fits nice in my hands)
- Possibly a better resolution screen
- Faster processor
- A bigger internal memory would be nice, but no need for it to be too
big as using memory stick duo's is alright for me.
- Camera SHOULD be 2mp just to be up to date with their other
models, (i agree that the flagship model for a manufacturer should
have all, if not better features than their other products). But it
doesn't need to be amazing as i'd use my digital camera (Sony T3)
for decent photos, as i'm sure everyone else would.
- Radio
- 3G Definatley
- WiFi
- Extendable stylus as standard
- A metal housing would be nice, i know it would make it heavier, but
if i'm paying £500 on a phone i'd like it to feel like it's worth that
much!
- Software format support - I'd like it to be able to play more types of
files as standard with out the need to install other software. e.g.
should play .avi without the need for smartmovie. I guess i'd only
need this for video clips, music files i'm not too bothered about,
thats why i have an ipod!

Thats about all i can think of right now... it's late!

I may add three things to list
*2 cameras for video calls one vga other for taking pictures 2 or more Megapixels
*a little joystick just like k700 or k750.
I know its a business phone but even businesmen sometimes play games
* an option to use screen in landscape or portrait mode would be nice

1. Better CAM with Zoom
2. Wifi
3. Longer range for Bluetooth
4. A more stable O/S (Mine is always hanging, and restarting nowadays)
5. Slimmer, and lighter
6. USB connectivity
7. Fine-tweak the fundamental functions like easier backing up of SMS, contacts, etc...
8. Bigger internal memory

Longer range on bluetooth is a very good idea, and so is the 2 cameras, i did mention that i think it should have 3G capabilities so the second would be used for video calls.

Yea, landscape screen orientation is a must. Although I think I've read somewhere that Symbian doesn't support text in that mode, which is why no browser offers it.

1>Forget long range BT (1.1 at 100M wud suck eggs). Give us BT v2.0+EDR; long range, stereo headset profile with all others, less strain on battery than previous versions, and also 2.5-3Mbits/sec data transfer & simultaneous connections.
2> WiFi b+g.
3> lots of mAh in standard battery!
4>2MP cam high quality no half stepping here.
5>3G & EDGE please.
6> Quadband for all models, one radio to use cheaper for manufacturing costs = boost profit margins!
7> UIQ3 : One model with Camera, one without in the HIGH end
8> UIQ3: another model without touchscreen.
9> 64MB memory minimum for internal storage, 32MB for running applications.
10> Give us a way to activate a app switcher that allows us to close apps as a priority over anything that crashes or is running in the background!

Hmm, I don't get why some people want a P1000 without touchscreen. That'd be another smartphone model for Sony Ericsson, but I sincerely DO NOT hope to see a touchscreen omission in the expected P1000.
