@san
yes it is.with the dip on its pricing, it's worth to buy it. It would be more cheaper when the new s series goes out though.

If you're an advanced user and speed is what you require, nothing beats a joystick.
Look after it, keep it clean, treat it with respect and you'll never have trouble.

1 year with the T610 and 1 year with the K700 and still good as gold.

You are not the only one to have problems with SE and joystick failure :-( be open minded. Get yourself a device which works ;-) This message was posted from a Nokia 7650

i had the same problem on k700i with joystick failure twice, both times i took it into the o2 shop and they repaired it in 5 days...
bit of a pain though having to use an older handset (r380 world!!!) for a few days, but it was a nice nostalgia trip!
i'm hoping that the same problem doesn't arise with the k750i...

A similar thing happend with my T610. After about 8 months, the joystick started to 'double-click', e.g you'd press it right once and instead of showing up the main menu, it'd go straight into the messaging menu. Taking it to bits and cleaning it helped a little, but it still does it sometimes.

I must say that I was never very impressed with joystick navigation anyway, buttons are much better IMO but like the original poster, this experience has put me off joysticks on phones even more!

Well, maybe not scared but they do appear to be problematic, be it through dust, mechanical wear or whatever.

My cordless landline phone has a four way navigation button. Now that's a much better system I reckon! It's sealed around the edges of the button which (I hope) will minimise the dust problem at least.

How about ditching the joysticks for a similar system, SE?
