Nokia's standards aren't very good - 7650 only supports data transfer - no handsfree

Did anyone ever find a solution to the 8004320A error with the 6310i running the PC connection managerversion 4.82 and a generic bluetooth connection, in my case cambridge silicon radio USB in an IBM T30?

I will bring this up with AT&T, they make $ off of working connections.

Yes, I bought a nokia 6310i just for its bluetooth communication. I wanted to setup the communication with my sony SRX51PA notebook with Bluetooth capabilities and yes.... here same problem.... error code 8004320A.

I'm gonna call Nokia Support tomorrow... if no satisfactory reply I will return the phone to the shop... 15 days money back guarantee if not satisfied .......and I AM NOT SATISFIED AT ALL. (sorry for the shouting... I guess you all know how I feel .... you've been there too I guess....)

I'll have a look at the Sony Ericson tomorrow.... hope it will not be the same story .... anyway I will still have the 15 days money back guarantee....

Well I contacted Nokia European support and it is exactly as mentioned ... one does need the Nokia bluetooth adaptor in order to use the Nokia PC Suite.....
Here is what I think and I do.... Nokia OUT...Sony here I come.

I would say... spread the word... because this is a rip off...selling a bluetooth compatible phone and then make it incompatible by the provided software....

Just out of interest...

Today I connected a Toshiba Portege laptop with an IBM (Digianswer) PCMCIA bluetooth adapter to a 6310i with no problems. I am using the latest PCSuite.

paulgsm > About software-versions,..basically version 4.08 and forward work well,...I know this, as we use the phone for testing bluetooth headsets

There were some issues on the earlier versions.

Well I've gone through the FAQ that goes with the software and this is the first line.

1. Digianswer Bluetooth Software Suite has to be installed and Nokia
Connectivity Card DTL-4 plugged into PCMCIA slot.

Were the hell do you get Digianswer Bluetooth Software Suite?

How do you upgrade the cell phone since I can't find any software online to upgrade it?

I've got a 6310i, software 4.8 and have the new nokia HDW-2 headset.
I can get them to connect okay, but the connection keeps dropping randomly - could take 1 minute, could take 30 minutes for it to happen.
I'm getting a software upgrade to 5.22, to see if this will help.
has anyone else had any similar problem with this headset, or indeed any other headset as I've heard ir may be quite common. And if so does anyone know if the software upgrade will help?

thanks,

H.

You guys/girls may have already read the thread below, but if not, please read it - it's about trying to get Nokia to sort itself out.
