you can try using a software that changes the bitrate of your MP3s, so that they would be compatible with your phone... in my case, i changed the bitrates of my MP3s from 128mbps (CD quality) to 64mbps (radio quality); you may sacrifice quality in the process but in effect, you have a "decent" MP3 with less file size...
