That's cool! Any time i buy an o2-contract phone it always comes with branding, but is unlocked! This message was posted from a S700

The forst phone i got on o2 contract was an Unbranded and unlocked K700i from CPW. After that i got a Nokia 7610 on o2 Online and it was branded but unlocked.
From now on I think I'm going to get my phones from places like CPW.
I'm very happy with the P900 i bought off of eBay and when my contract is up I might see what SE smartphones are available then. I won't bother with th P910i tho.

the wifes Samsung E800 is also branded but unlocked. Thats one good thing about o2's phones. the've all been unlocked (mine have)

Answer to the original question is "no", they haven't stopped selling branded phones. With a lot of PAYG-only handsets, and all Orange and some Voda and T-Mobile Pay Monthly deals, the handsets are still locked and branded. But Carphone often have agreements with the networks to sell unbranded stock in certain situations (usually where stock is low or slow) hence the sim-free K750i on O2.

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a generic K750i on Orange?Want one on Orange but not with Orange software and don't want to knacker my warranty by flashing/flexing it.

TIA

Buy a sim card to go with it, see the CPW stores to see if they would allow you to have an unbranded one.

Have tried but all their Orange K750i phones are paired with the SIM card for that phone, but they can do a Nokia 6230i unbranded and unlocked with an Orange SIM.Could be due to supply problems and Orange have agreed to let them do this til Orange branded handsets are available.
