RDS is radio data system, it depends on the radio station if there is only a station name or track artist, here in Poland, few station does not support RDS so i see only frequency, but RDS is marked on. But most station displays station name, artist, current time, and phone number. It depends how good station You got at Your own country;)
thanks for the reply. i knew RDS could do more than just display the radio station name! unfortunately, my radio station here in vancouver doesnt support track information i guess. i never implied that the phone itself will recognize the song, i just thought it was universal that RDS will automatically send track information to my phone as well (but i guess like u said its radio station dependant).
