im not trying to start a fight or anything but
i realize that the people with the k750 say that it is better, while everyone else says it is close. personally, i think its close. the one where you said it was hard to tell, i think the s700 is a littl emore clear. but they are both close.

Also worth pointing out is that naturally the S700i's 1.3mp pictures will look slightly better than the K750i's 2mp pictures, because 1280x960 halves perfectly into VGA standard, whilst 1632x1224 does not, so pictures look slightly more ragged when resized.

Both sizes have the same proportion of 1:1.33 i think. So it's fair enough.

Its a good comparison though, well done.

thanks.

well great comparison.. i think there are some areas that the s700 has more quality than the k750i....

sure there is.. that's what i wanna show you guys.

btw can someone teach me how to use the white balance thing? how would i know if i should use the daylight, cloudy, flourescent or incandescent setting? thanks

it's mostly used by using your feeling. anyway, daylight setting is used when the sky is bright, in a sunny day. cloudy is used for example when it's gonna rain, in the afternoon, etc. flourescent is used when you're indoor of white lightning condition. incandescent is on the opposite of fluorescent.

The K750 clearly has a better lens. That is the main difference. Its pictures are of the same level of 2MP 'stand alone' camera's.

The higher contrast of the S700 makes the pictures look livelier sometimes.

That said, the S700 outperforms most other cameraphones. It makes decent pictures. I wouldn't run to the store for a K750 if a had a S700 - I'd wait for a bigger leap.

Keep comparing... pfffff! boring!
A cellphone is not a DIGITAL CAMERA. if you want great pictures with nice color balance then go buy a digicam!. That's what digicams are for.
That's life so don't complain, take it or leave it.

Pictures below were taken with my K750

And This, taken with a digicam

I know we can't compare a cellphone with digicam!.

It does not matter. The point im making is, is that pictures taken in the full 1632x1224 resolution by the K750i do not resize down to 640x480 perfectly. The 1280x960 size images by the S700i do.

So naturally the S700i pictures will look sharper, or less pixelated in VGA size. The K750i pictures will be pixelated or blurred depending on which program you use to resize them.

I think a better comparison would be gained by taking pictures by both cameras in VGA resolution. Both the S700i and K750i are able to capture images in 640x480 - so it would be a better comparison of their capabilities.

Having said that, some of the pictures you posted i do prefer the S700i - but only marginally. For example the rag doll picture - the S700i version looks more colourful, whilst the K750i version looks a little drab. However, i doubt that has anything to do with the sensors alone, but the whole camera, its components, software and image processing and not mentioning the possibility that you simply took a bad picture with the K750i.

Etab you're right ! which program use you to resize pics without compression.

I'm using PIXresizer, it's very easy to use but there's a bit visible compression after rezised pics 1632x1224 to 800x600.

I can't use photoshop.

dkessel, for the macro shot you're a bit too close, take the pic at 6/7 cm and you will optain better result

I made a comparison between the two here

After looking at these photos again........ Unbiased conclusion --> I like the S pictures beter than the K. They just look better and richer.
BTW, I am not a K750 hater, I like the phone

@dkessel

Did you read the thread tittle? Do you have both cam phones? If you're not going to compare, what good is posting digitalcam pics V.S. camphone pics?
