hi i dont have an orange p910i im on o2 (they dont mess with the software like orange) anyway if you have Sman (everyone should) check show hidden tasks and there may be an orange app running in the background you can switch off thus preventing this msg and battery drainage!!!!!

I believe your phone is set to look for new emails at a certain time intervall.
Check your email settings mate.

ahh but tranquil the guy has already tried that and failed!!
the problem mus lie in an orange app running hidden in the background as in as any o2 users who have installed the o2 active menu the gprs tries to stay connected to update etc ( or more like to drain cash from ya pocket!!) lol

I think it actually started for me once i'd installed Yahtzee. Nothing to do with the orange apps, and since I did a master reset, it's been no problem. I also had Sman on there, and there were no ghost apps(at least not visible to Sman!)

It must have been an Orange thing. Despite setting it to 1 hour as suggested in an early reply it was still "asking". I changed the settings from Orange to O2 and it no longer happens!
