You can check you're login before you proceed...click the "info" button , it will tell you how many creds your login has
Sorry you had a bad experience but generally its a good product...the new version even presents a drop down list of all the valid CDA codes so you don't have to search the net for them ... very nice addition

One week has gone now, and the new firmware seems to work perfectly fine. I flashed my little brothers phone as well, and he's not experiencing anything wrong either.

I bet they'd love to thank you for not reading the manual.
What a silly thread.

Can you tell me where it says that unless you pay, the phone will not be working until you do? There was no manual that came with the program, and no indication of that this service costs money on the front page. But yes, the manual is there, though not on the front page, nor does it come with the program. Nice program, if you search the page carefully.

From the Quick Manual on their site:
Flashing procedure not take a credits, but after flashing process - need to make finalization!
Finalization takes about 3...4 minutes (speed 115200) If you will forget to make finalization, your phone will show message on display: 'Error Configuration....."
Prehaps that's not clear enough for you, but what you're missing is that this program isn't aimed at one-off end users such as yourself, it's aimed at professional unlockers who know what they're doing.
Now that most professional shops have a standalone tool (Cruiser or SeTool) I guess that doesn't hold quite as true anymore, but the programs roots are the reason it doesn't have big, friendly "Your phone will not work if you don't tick this and pay money" warning.
Many different people have spent many months discovering how to bypass all the new protection SonyEricsson have put into their new model phones. The mindset of many users here that "it should all be free" amazes me. Why should it be free?

Hey, I fully understand why this isn't free, and I gladly paid €20 to flash my 2 phones.
The only thing that's a little "unprofessionally" done is that the program flashes the phone when you haven't entered a login/password. There should at least be a small warning when you click the "Flash"-button and you haven't entered anything, because obviously people like me who asume that things like that shouldn't be a problem, exists.
One more thing: From now on, when a new firmware from SE comes out, can I flash my phones without any problem from the SE site, or do I have to use software like DaVinci?

@thompzen
I agree with you on that.. I have thought the same thing. Many people will try to flash even when it says it costs money and will end up having an messed up phone.

Ok, both valid comments.
I guess I was being a little too elitist.
I remember when I went to flash my first T610
I read the manual forwards, backwards and sideways before the cable went anywhere near the phone
Glad it's all sorted anyway, I'll pull my head in now.
