Another place with the adapters available for sale,
http://www.doml.com/product.asp?id=2035
More costly than from that Chinese guy in China but they're a reputable website that ships worldwide.
Either way, after adding in shipping charges both works out to be about the same price. IMO, it's better to get from doml.com rather than some unknown Chinese guy located in China.
Update: After some clicking around, doml.com is cheaper than the Chinese guy in China by $1 after adding in the shipping charges. It's $12 (doml.com) vs $13 (chinese guy). So I guess it's a no brainer to get from doml.com

What do you reckon then? Wait for HPM-70 which I guess will cost over £35 as the EX-71's cost that anyway. Or buy a cheap adaptor without the mic on the lead?

Probably can get the cheap adapter first and use them now while waiting for the HPM-70 to become available.

If you're handy with a soldering iron, it wouldn't be hard to lop off the earphphones and replace them with a 3.5mm stereo jack line socket to allow you to plug in your choice of headphones...
