You can also use iTunes. It can import and create the mp4 file on the fly in one step.

Tried that but only found lots of threads with people who can't get it to work. One thread was over 500 pages long... could you narrow it down for me?

What's the difference between mp3/mp4?

My 'CREED - Greatest Hits' album came with a DVD of music videos. What format should I convert them to, to play on my K700i (R2AE033)?
What software do you recommend to convert them?

itunes mates!!! you can use it as music ripper in a fly!!! just adjust the setting for your itunes...
