Hmmm, Im using O2 PAYG - got a few sims here:

Sim 1) PAYG with credit - works fine on the net but depletes my credit

Sim 2) Brand new unregistered PAYG - Connects to the net but will not load any page (However Mirc still works)
I get the "please top up credit - you need at least 50p call 4444" text message when I disconnect.

Sim 3) PAYG used but with no credit - Behaves exactly like sim 2.

Conclusion: Free Internet access has ended, you can only access the net when you have credit, and your credit is depleted as per O2's rates.

Unless Im mistaken this spells the end of the Free Net Access (On PAYG that is, Im a second class citizen who has a bad credit rating and cannot get a contract)

I am on my arse, have no cash for a telephone line to be installed/phone bills etc...

Goodbye old friend, you served me well (50.6gb downloaded actually)
