Every1 has ntfs but the majority prefer 3rd party apps.

The reason is that your method is vulnerable to safe mode.

Not everyone has NTFS. FAT32 is a popular one for Windows.

yup it sadly lacks this feature whch seems so basic -_-

Name a phone that has this feature. The key word being phone. It is not a secure device. Be realistic.

sapporobaby: You asked me to name a device. The Samsung D500.

Also my old Siemens M65 at least had a pin-locked keylock option.

Actually you are correct but I was referring to a phone that locks down actual directories. Smart phones not included.

like I said it could be easily implmented

and since SE is so innovative it would be cool if they actually made that feature in the next firmware/phone

I am not asking for a nuclear bomb in my phone I am asking for 5 lines of text to be added in the firmware, and since I see a lot of other people asking for the same thing then I guess it has it's purpose.

If you use that method of thinking then you should have told SE when they first implemented bluetooth in their phones:

'name one phone that has bluetooth in it -_- '

By all means lead the charge. Write the code yourself and submit it if it is that easy. Have Davinci Team program it. They do a bit of ARM programming. Come on get things done!!!!!!!!

majority or all motorola phones have it as far as I'm aware - can lock specific directories not just code for keypad

I'm not suggesting encryption or anything, just a lock on the phone so that someone *casually* browsing my phone couldn't find anything valuable. It *wouldn't* need implementing at the filesystem level. Even a pin-locked keylock would be great.
