In my country, there are just too many lies and bad publicities about SE possibly falsely created by NOK*A sales team s

For instance, there are claims that only Ericsson Phones can cause Brain Tumors; An elderly person hairs on right ears turn white due to strong radiations from SE phone, person identity is of cause unknowned; Since merging with Sony, Ericsson went bankrupt; Ericsson Phones too buggy; SE Phones too difficult to use; SE Phones have limited Functions'. ETC.

This is my number 8 Ericsson phone, I don't seem to have any of the above problems. Perhaps, the right thing for SE to do is to create an counter lies division.

To be honest with you I think next year will be catching up to Nokia it may be a good time for us because both companies are competing on producing the best phones which gives us the and Nokia owners the advantage on getting these phones (Even though there a bit expensive!)

I think you are wrong. It's not 'the best phones ever' that produce high market share, It is entry level handsets for prepay kids. Can anyone, I mean anyone see a time in the near future when Nokia give up that sector? I don't think so. Kids always want what there friends have, and the 3xxx will live on for another couple of years at least.

ericsson has got a bad history whit alot of people the brake down easy (T10-T18). nokia has already got alot of phones on the market and alot of those people stay whit nokia but are alsow looking at the phones but still buy nokia (i did a test). the 3310 is nokia's most selling phone its is very cheap to build (about 42€) it sells good, why i don't know.alot of companys buy them in large number because its cheap.only the phone operators in my country (there are 3) buy ericsson phone's for there workers ( one bought T39 an other on R520 and T68 and the last one bought alsow T39).all the other major companys in belgium buy nokia or siemens.
nokia is doing alot of advertising and are selling always 2 phones in one who bought a 3310 would buy the 3330 because of one game more, 3410 came first and not many people knew about the 3510, now that it is here the 3510 is selling good.6310 and then the 6310i whit a beter screen and more. ericsson has got those antenna's on the R520 and T39 and most nokia people hate external antenna's. lauches there new phones always on a bad time, after christmas, new year, easter, and after the new nokia's. only the T68 was good on time but not enough advertising during the holidays. the only problem whit is marketing thats all and maby because they don't suply enough.
i hope is runner up at the end of this year.

Ericsson has a bad image because of the rubbish phones they have produced before. Nokia is still easier to use and Nokia phones were always more personal, customizable. Ppl who needs only talking and sms buy Nokia because of it's easy user interface.

I think it basically comes down to the fact that Nokia phones are easier to use and have tended to be more pleasant on the eye. They have not been as feature packed as others which makes them easier to use.

My experiences with my younger cousins are that they go for something which they can customise, can text fast and simply from, are affordable, and have a variety of games on. One of the reasons that my younger girly cousin bought a new phone, in this case a 3310, was that it had more games that were more up-to-date.

I think it's poor marketing and crummy phines earlier. like the 788, that's what turned me to Nokia and siemens.

In my opinion Sony Ericsson pack alot more into their phones than Nokia so a few break downs are expected. But Nokia has so many software problems. I had my Nokia 7110 replaced 16 times in 2 years. It's an excellent shoe feature wish but the software was crap! This post was posted from a Nokia

Give them time. They make better phones (generally because some of you have had problems) and they give better features - they are just new to the market as a company - Sony existed and Ericsson existed but neither of them were ever as good as Nokia.

I think SonyEricsson is better than Nokia in terms of products but they are just new to the market. They don't have marketing experience like Nokia does.

My conclusion: Give them time... Give them time and they will position themselves right.
