You can still get them unlocked if you have a local market/shop that does unlocking or know someone with the appropriate hardware
My 2 were locked but I unlocked them and flashed with non O2 firmware .. going on ebay at the weekend.

yeh, i know, the only solution is a cable, im just selling them as locked to o2, most ppl think that they can be easily unlocked so it wont make that much difference in the end..................to me.
