@MominIslam
There were rumours that the real successor to the P910 would be a communicator style device. Also as UIQ3 supports keyboard and touch screen input there were rumours that SE would release a number of devices. Can you shed any light on these rumours?

Hermione is a SonyEricsson prototype.
That's all we need to know right now.
They have 3 (UIQ 3) smartphones in development, so this is probably one of them.
And stop saying "this is not the P910 sucessor" BECAUSE there are at least 3 sucessors, NOT JUST ONE. OK?
The communicator device (Motorola MPx style) that is supposed to be the TOP smartphone from SE IMHO is probably one year away.
BTW, this is how MPx looks like:

I'm not sure about the next P series..........
One thing for sure is........... The photos look questionable........
I'm not saying it's a fake. But there is a possibility.

REO,
These "questionable" fotos show the same phone of the leaked powerpoint press release of Orange!
A few weeks later, SonyEricsson hunted down the web sites that posted the first spy photos of Hermione, including Esato itself!
Sorry man, if these facts can't convince you...

Assuming for a moment that this is the actual phone, I spot one major ergonomic problem with it. And that is the flip appears to block use of some of the keys on the querty keypad. I know that when I'm writting on my p910i, I use the keypad form the bottom, wheras on this the flip appears to block off the bottom section of the phone. Anyone else noticed that?

I'm like a few here it seems, this will almost certainly be the next phone for me. It solves my issues with the P910 a little smaller, better ie usable camera, easier one handed.
BUT I'll wait, I got one of the 1st P910s because the software was already out there. Unless the Hermione can run my existing apps I'll have to wait until they are available for UIQ3. Buying a phone like this and just using the built in apps is only half the story. There are at least 15 apps I'd need to be available B4 I could make the switch.

For a phone like that to keep me interested, it also needs several factors:
1. Good office and productivity tools -> Free!
2. Good games (now we have a 3D accelerato chip!)
3. Good music/video player, with good codecs (AVI, MPG, DivX and OGG Vorbis please!)

as I said, there are loads of things I dislike.
The stupid thumb board that is not practical (i'd prefer a larger screen)
The lack of a scroll wheel (that was my favourite thing!)
and
The UGLY back (which looks like a lower end SE phone)
*sighs*
I'll only buy this because I loved my P900 and P910 (p900 more) and I had to switch because I'm with three.
I guess if it came in glossy white it'd presuade me even more.
Oh well... SE couldn't always win my heart.
edit: I noticed the description says jog dial to three ways. What ever that means ( I assume he means 5 way not 3 way)
If that tiny little bulge on the left side which is more to the middle of the phone rather than the top is the dial then they've seriously made an error.

@_LAU_, Dude you forgot to request MP3 support! Ogg Vorbis should take 3rd seat request behind it and AAC.
That Motorola MPx that you posted on the last page is a dead device; released in limited quantities and PULLED from Motorola as the contract for manufacturing it by Chi Mei didnt produce quality products. Most people that have it have prerelease models; this is worldwide. Moto's top device right now is either of the current 3 Linux smartphones or even the upcoming BlackBerry fighter the Q - imagine a Razr with 1.3MP cam, MiniSD hotswap slot, and Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone Edition, and almost just as slim.
I love the qwerty in this P950, if thats its official name, but its implementation I dont like; 3 keys on the sidewall edge, 6 in total. These keys look like their raised on the side edge of the device just on the rim.
