Just downloaded the latest version of iTunes, the one which supposedly allows files to be converted for the iPod. Turns out, that iTunes only allows you to put *.MOV and *.MP4 files on to your library. The iPod can play these files as thy are in any case. What the Fook were apple thinnking??

i very much doubt it mate.... i had it bought for me for xmas and i havent updated anything.... will that void the warrenty tho? and i shouldnt have to update teh firmware just to listen to podcasts should i? if so i will lose an aweful lot of respect for the ipod you expect technology today to be easy it use... thats my main prob with psp's - i aint getting oine coz of all the firmware bugs etc... utter crap!

Anyhoots, back to the ipod basically mate i had them working before... the ipod aint changed only my windows installation has.... therefor i decided to redo my itunes music collection at the same time... i have sat there and actually watched itunes download teh podcasts and saw them 'update' on my ipod... now why cant i find them.... this is really stressing me out as im normally good with this kind of thing but somethings happened here.... im also almost certian that before my windows re-installation i used to have an option in teh menu for podcasts - where heck is that? (maybe im just dreaming this tho)

Any help would be amazing!

Thx

****added -

if noone helps - the ipod gets it - lol ****

ooo I got an idea. Press ctrl and select all the pod casts u want to copy then drag them over to the ipod, that should copy them over. Or try to drag and drop the playlist?

firmware updates are free from apple so wont mess up warrenty etc they generally mast add little improvments to the ipod rather then fix problems etc

i see mate, so in a way the firmware updates are different from that of a phone.... coz i know if i update teh firmware on my phone it voids teh warrenty right? sorry to sound clueless but in all fairness i am when it comes to this....

As for what you said about copying them by drag and dropping them i will give it a try when i get home no itunes in work

Thanks for teh suggestions Luke much appreciated

fingers crossed now
