Your mistaking megapixels for quality. Just say the K800i was 10MP. It would be no better in quality than a 1MP photo. 1MP means the photo is at 1280 x 960 pixels and 3MP means 2048 x 1536 pixels. That's it.
are you serious about this reply?

That is completely right. Megapixels are just size, they don't tell us anything about quality of the picture. MP are important for printing quality.

-how can i create a shortcut to an app in the applications folder of the file manager? I want to shortcut to the awesome new Gmail java app
-i want to be able to send full size images over MMS or email. but, every time i try, the phone forces me to resize. is there any way around this??
thanks all!!
Welcome to Esato.
-You cant have anything inside the file explorer as a shortcut. To bad realy.
-Most service providers have a maksimum limit for the size of mms messages and you can't reach the limit. The images on k800i is abot 700-1000kb in full quality.
You can always set up your phone for e-mail and send the pictures through mail. Its without the size limit and much cheaper. The only bad thing is that your fiends(The reciever) must set up the email on the phone to recive images and they wont get it directly on the second like a mms message.

For Work I have been signed up with a lone worker telephone system, that relies on speed-dial on your mobile.
I know that to use speed dial you need to press the location (e.g. 2) then call to speed-dial.
Anyone know of a way of turning on "traditional" speed dial (i.e. just press the 2 button, in a similar way that voicemail works).
Looked through all the manuals buit no joy
Any help is much appriciated

If you don't want to wait for the Flight mode/Normal mode options screen when switching on your phone,
after you've pressed the power button the Sony Ericsson logo pops up pause for a second then you can press (no need to hold the key, just press once)
key '1' to take you straight to 'Normal mode' or key '2' for 'Flight mode'
or....
settings>general>flightmode>don't show
so much easier
