My k800 went dead too...can't figure it out..what is the problem...after it died...I'd tried to plug it with the usb cable..it worked but when I'd replugged it...it switched off .....It's very difficult to read all the post.... only diagnostic i have is in wotanclient 1.0.2

waiting....
phone found.
Db2020 detected.

nothing happen after that... is my battery too loo...or an internal problem.
i bought my phone on ebay soo....no warranty....
HAVE SOME CLUE?

Read my post that is 7 message up (Posted: 2007-10-16 06:15). The key is to have fully charge batt and take your batt off longer (leave it overnight if you have to). Also don't let go pushing 2+5 until it has already recognised your phone and say ready for operation.

You may try phoneXS++ 2.2 and checked whether it can recognised your phone. I find out that it give me consistency reading my phone than any other client (even SEUS and healthy phone sometime keep on waiting, don't know why). Also try other computer and plug your USB cables directly to port in computer (motherboard).

One poster in topsony (if I am not mistaken) say that flashing EROM FOTA also works. EROM is not available in topsony but EROM FOTA is. And phone XS++ 2.2 can upload EROM FOTA (laod it as MAIN firmware).

If I sound I repeating myself then I am reapeating myself. I have writen these info many times in few other Dead K800/upgrade EROM/K800 firmware threads. If you really desperate and your phone can't be recognised in any means then bring your phone to service centre especially if you still have warranty. It is our right as SE customer.

I tried to get my K800i out of its coma using your procedure and it worked, but the Wotan client I downloaded is for K310 and the option is not highlighted so can't be changed. I flashed my phone first and noticed latter, is the client different for every phone or is the same one used for all the models. How can I get Wotan client that is for K800i. The phone turned on but not immediately, I connected the charger and left it al night long, in the morning when i switched it on it turned on but the everything is messed up, I can receive calls but can not dial out, when I connect the usb cable the pc says Error. What should I do to get it fixed, please kindly advice.

And to think I was just about to send in my K800i for service which (they told me) could take up to 2 months... (Guess that's what I get for buying from a French web shop when I live in Sweden.)

But now I got the phone working again just in 45 minutes . WotanClient works fine in Parallels on a MacBook by the way

I thought I'd just add a few things...

It's the flash driver that is needed to make this fix work, not the general SE-drivers, so I'm pretty sure you can skip installing PC Suite if you don't already have it. I had to download the flash drivers separately.

The first time I connected the phone I got a "phone found" message in Wotan but then nothing happened. Then I disconnected the phone, removed the battery, waited a few minutes, and tried again. This time it worked like a charm!

I can't rule out that there was something in Parallels that screwed up the USB-connection the first time, but anyway if any of you are having problems getting Wotan to work, just remove the battery and try again in a couple of minutes.
(Btw, Parallels is a PC-emulator that I use to run Windows XP on my MacBook Pro.)

hi guys i really need some my k800i is dead as well and iv tried everything i intsalled the latest version of the pc suite all the drivers and everything. I have tried and worked with my k750i but no luck with this 1 i tried wotan without a credit holding c and 2+5 over and over again but always says waiting and doesnt go any further i tried kulan but it doesnt even run i noticed if i hold the power button in 4 like a minute white screen comes up but dies again can any one help PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is it 2+5 or "C" (Since it says: Connect your phone, pressing "C") that I should press? If its 2+5 why I'am I getting that error?
If its "C" when do I do after "Now you can choose Main and Filesystem files,
and alter other setting" ?
