Updated from o2 brand CDA/29 to World Generic /1 last night using KulanKendi, worked a treat, and SEUS upgraded me to R9F011 no problems within about 15 minutes.

No real changes yet, but i'm sure i'll pick some up as i go along...

I see that the new m600 fw has made some improvements for what concerns the sounds volume...and i really dont understand why they dont do something about the w950i volume...is a walkman phone ffs...

guys, better test some wma and wmv files...they are working on P990 with new firmware, so the new w950 firmware should also support those

W950 always did support WMA, it was the one thing it did that m600 and p990 didn't do

The W950i has always spported WMV files as well. I'm surprised to hear that SE has added those features (i.e. WMA and WMV support) to the P990i as I thought they were one of the things that made it a "Walkman" phone as compared to a "business" phone. Oh well.

@OfficeMaven,

W950i supports MP3/AAC/MPEG4 files (as per technical spec), it can also play wma files as I found out today (also, divx files with divx player!). However, I have never been able to play WMV (windows media video) files, it's still unable to play with the latest firmware.

Please prove me (us!) wrong by testing some wmv files, I have tested several wmv files today, but none of them play, get error message - "there is a problem opening the file. try again?" !!!
