ok, well just for my own interest I have done some research on this topic and find that internet law juridiction is a difficult one and has many variables.... I'm still working that issue

but... Norway is not in EU so while Esato is in "Europe", it is not in EU where the distance selling regulations might apply EU-wide.

also... Distance selling regulations states that the contract is between a business, which is defined as "a trade or profession", and a consumer, which is defined as "means any natural person who, in contracts to which these Regulations apply, is acting for purposes which are outside his business"

also, auctions are specifically excluded from protection except buy-it-now which, by their nature, are not an auction.

as I said, I'm just reading up for my own interest but these are my findings so far. The real tricky one is the jurisdiction but tbh, I'm not sure how any of this might help...

eBay UK isn't registered in the UK..

but people have been sentenced etc from doing things on there?

i don't get law..

yeah... I'm no lawyer either...

also, when buying software online from various overseas companies via the internet we still have to pay VAT at UK rates. I always wonder if that VAT really gets passed on!
