I'm hoping someone here can help me out.
I'm on a monthly contract and I upgraded my phone to a T68i about 2 months ago.
I dropped the phone last week and have broken the volume control off. I've spoken to O2 (who I have my contract with) and they aren't able to help me; I'm not entitled to another subsidised upgrade until I have had my phone for 12 months.
Basically, it's going to cost me 180 quid to go out and buy another T68i just because I've broken my volume control.
I've opened the phone up and looked at the damage inside. The volume control slider switch is actually completely smashed off the circuit board inside. I'm a whizz with the soldering iron, but I think it's beyond repair.
I can change the ring volume from the menus - but how can I change the earpiece volume for when I receive a call? At the moment I can barely hear people I ring. If I could get the volume up a bit I could survive with the damaged phone until I'm entitled to an upgrade again.
Thanks in anticipation! Lot's of virtual beer to anyone who can help!
