you fail to understand simple english. i said now you're saying these features are useless, but once SE in cooperates into their next phone, the same features, you'll be all "wow SE has wifi GPS ....."
Oh but some SE phones do have wifi. It's called 802.11

hehe. my point was about the double standards. if SE doesnt have it, we dont need it. if SE has it, we cant live without it.

Fair enought, but I doubt you will be able to see sale figures for individual phones and hence does not know how much N95 has contributed with to the total sales.

Today Sony Ericsson has announced a successor to the P990i and M600i. The P1 combines the best features of both phones along with a set of powerful hardware improvements. Being almost 25% smaller than the P990 (106 x 55 x 17 mm, 124 g), the P1 includes 3.2 Megapixel camera and 400% more free RAM memory (128 MB total / ~ 80 MB free) for applications significantly improving multi-tasking performance and application behavior. It is based on Symbian OS 9.1 and UIQ 3.0. Other features include UMTS, WiFi, Bluetooth with A2DP support, VoIP, 2.6" (240 x 320 pixels) touch screen with handwriting recognition, dual function keyboard, FM radio, 160 MB of internal storage memory and 512 MB M2 memory card. The phone has similar shape to the M600i, i.e. no flip keyboard known from previous P-series models. Push email support includes Exchange ActiveSync and BlackBerry Connect. The Sony Ericsson P1 is a tri-band GPRS 900/1800/1900 and UMTS 2100 handset with WiFi 802.11b. It will be available from Q3 2007.
Note the 802.11
B. The N95 has all of this and more. This looks like an M600i with a few more features.

What I think SE is currently is picking its battles. It doesn't really want to be left behind in any segment. But when you look at SE's line up there are so many candybars and not much else. I think SE is currently pushing to make its mark in the slider area. After all its quite simple only Samsung has a strong linup there, moto hasn't made amark and neither has nokia, so SE is probably trying to get its foot into that door. Of course it'll have to keep a strong presence in the candybar segment and it can't totally ignore the clamshell segment either. What's also nice is that SE's thrust for sliders has come at the same time as its thrust for slim.
What you guys don't seem to notice is SE's relative size compared to its competitors and who SE tries to compete with and when. SE is seen as a company with high tech products that can hold their own against nokia in all but the high end, which is fine for everyone but us. Now it wants to push more to the style oriented which in some ways is easier to get into. So while we sit here and discuss what SE should do I'm sure they have their hands very full trying to expand in some areas without losing in others all while making enough money to continue to expand to meet its sales expansion rate. I just hope their successfull because its on hell of a job right now.

Sometimes figures can be incongruous (not saying this is). That's why providing "your" particular source for a claim can be good to compare with someone elses finding.
Be aware however, that the figures in the link only includes contract phones while prepayed handsets are exluded. As your previous link showed, for prepayed handsets N95 is not even listed.

Could it be that Nokia is not offering the phone to the operators as a pre-paid subscription? Besides this is moot as the current figures do not lie. The N95 is selling very, very well, even with its reported shortcomings. Second, if they are doing this well with subscriptions, what is to say that they will not sell as well with pre-paid. Sounds like someone has gone the Boy "George" Bush school of fact spinning.

Could be. I'm not familiar with the UK market (no such limits where I live).

The high price (for got sake, I can get a laptop for the price of an N95). But good is a relative term and depends on what you are comparing it with (if selling 10000 N95 is considered as good, selling an equal amount of an cheaper phone would probably be considered as bad if you know what I mean).
