@kelace:

Check out this shot I took a few months back:

Very similar isn't it. (Was taken with default camdriver 2.2 - thats why it blurred so much)

@ charge

Well allmost an identical photo

And that picture is blurred as the focus has not been set ..... not due to the stock cam driver .... See this picture ....

It was taken with the stock cam driver in my k550i ... I think its a very good one ...

I think for 550i stock driver is not that bad as we think ....

one more photo taken with k550i stock driver .....

This is the best best that I have taken so far with a mobile camera .....

I think k550i camera module is superb for taking macro shots ..... it does better than my sony's 6mega pixel digicam s600 !!!

No S600 stil better than any camphone matey, just look at the pics i've taken with a Sony S40 Digicam, with it's 1:3.8 aperture rating it's no wonder why K550 takes superb macros! since the smaller the aperture the depth of field is shallower.

Thanx 4 that info ..... What I meant was the case of only extreme close ups mate ........ In all other modes , S600 excells ......

But I think K550i has a 1:3:2 aperature .... not 1:3:8

Thanks for correction matey

AFAIK just like S40, S600 has no dedicated macro mode, but instead it uses Autofocus's closest range limit to make close-up pictures that's why it looses to k550 in extreme macro just imagine if SE could use the same CCD and Carl-Zeiss on K550 how would that be?

another thing was that the small aperture helps the camera to focus even on it's closest range. just imagine samsung cameras that has no autofocus(X820,U100,F300) still manages to make close-up shots well. it's because of the relatively small aperture

N73 excells because of its Carl Zeiss lens !!!!

I can't understand why still no sony ericsson phones AFAIK hasn't got Carl Zeiss lenses while its digital cameras excel with it .....
