Great forum. I hope one of you can help me with a problem that is driving me absolutely insane. I have bought a SE T610 and wants to syncronize with outlook on my PC via bluetooth I can't set up the virtual serial connection. I have tried everything, but it still says: "can't find the phone". In extendblue manager it can detect my device but when I display services it only shows DUN and generic networking. The phone is visible i bt settings, the software is installed and the right com port is activated. What is wrong????
Please help me fast before I go nuts.

They both operate around the same frequency, which meant that Bluetooth used to interfere with Wireless networking. Don't think it does anymore. They both operate around the 2.4Ghz - 2.48Ghz range. Think you can get WiFi which is 5.1Ghz aswell.
Bluetooth outputs less power than Wifi, that's why it will only work within 10metres.
Hope this helps...
You can't really compare it with 3G phones because that's different. They just work the same as any other cellular phone. The area is divided into cells. Cells next to each other must have different frequencies, but cells which are 1 cell away from another (if you get what i mean). Can operate on the same frequency. The frequency isn't as high either. 850/900/1800/1900. Depending on your country.

Hi room, and what a good read up this has been, just a simple question that been entering my mind over the past week.. Could a bluetooth head set( se hbh 65) connected to my pc through a bluetooth dongle, and use the pair to chat live audio on msn?Just think, you could have a 30 meter dongle, and hopfully chat on msn around the world anywhere in the house.

georgieo - i was doing just that with my Logitech bluetooth headset yesterday.
Pair it with the PC (obviously)
double click My Bluetooth Places
right click Logitech HS01, select Connect
The headset will ring, tap the multifunction key
In MSN
Tools > Audio and Video Tuning wizard
Next
Select your webcam (me : Pinnacle WDM PCTV Video Capture Composite)
Adjust the cam as normal
next
next
for Microphone select "Bluetooth Audio"
for Speakers select "Bluetooth Audio"
run through the tests
finish
You'll have to do the bold bit everytime, but it works
No idea what happens when your mobile rings, presumably it will see the headset is paired and be in phone only (my T630 is in phone only if you answer on the handset anyway)

can some body help me with this query, my p900 has started acting up when i switch my bluetooth on. The first thing i notice is when i call somebody ( without using bluetooth headset ) i cant hear the ringing tone, the 1st thing i will hear is the other person say Hello. Also if i go to switch off the bluetooth on the phone using the control panel via touch screen or the connections menu usig the jog dial, it takes me many attempts before i can switch it off. I also have moments where the screen will go blank and i can only restore it by taking the battery out of the back. All these probs only occur when bluetooth is 'switched on' on the phone.
Any ideas guys?

HELP! OBEX CONNECTION PB
I have a pb exchanging files towards my P800 via bluetooth. I constantly get the message "No OBEX Connection".
I can do the inverse operation though from my P800 to my computer.
Many thanks for your help.

Glad to see a Bluetooth forum. When I bought my K700i a day ago they mentioned in the Orange store that they didn't stock PC leads at the moment. What they failed to mention is that no-one does yet.
So looks like Bluetooth for me now - I was wondering whether Blue Monkey USB adaptors are any good - I've found these two on Expansys.
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=111526
Blue Monkey Mini USB Bluetooth Adaptor
http://www.expansys.com/product.asp?code=ARM-USBBT
Blue Monkey USB Bluetooth Adaptor with Hinged Antenna
Shops seem to vary massively with their Bluetooth adaptor prices - from £30 to £90 - one guy said the only real difference will be the range.
Has anyone bought either of these? Should I go for these or another brand (hopefully nearly as cheap).
??
thx
